What was needed:
Kyle is an artist with oodles of different talents – singer, musician, songwriter and vocal coach are at the top of the list – but what he wanted when he came to us was something a simple but irreverent blog. A place where his fans and friends could find the latest news about him easily and in a fun and easy-to-navigate format.
He also wanted a music player so people could play his music when they came to his site, a page where fans could buy his albums CDs directly from him and a page that discussed his vocal coaching and listed testimonials from his past and current clients.
What we did:
This is the kind of thing we can do very easily, so it took us very little time to find a premium theme that Kyle liked, then install it. We then located a free music player plugin, installed that and then built the two special pages – the album store and the vocal coach page. Kyle liked the colors and the spacing of the Modularity Theme out-of-the-box, so no major color or spacing tweaks were needed. After teaching Kyle to post, add images and music, we were pretty much done and Kyle’s been very happy with it since and gets loads of compliments and comments for his site and the content that he now posts on a regular basis.
